"There'’s capital starvation in the property market," says Development Securities' chief executive Michael Marx. "And we’re exploiting that." The developer, which has had two consecutive £100m summer fund-raisings, has been buying secondary property from banks and rival developers in need of capital. So far it has managed to invest £234m since its first rights issue 18 months ago.
