Xcite on track to first oil

Xcite Energy has revealed a new development strategy that is targeting first production from the Bentley heavy oil field in the North Sea by mid-year. Accelerating part of the first project phase by deploying a pre-production well allows Xcite not only to remain on track for first oil this year, but also enables that milestone to be reached without further financing or field development plan (FDP) approval.
