Completion of acquisition boosts land bank

Malaysian palm-oil plantations developer Asian Plantations has completed the acquisition of the Dulit Estate in Sarawak, which takes the company's land bank to 20,770 hectares. Of this, 9,322 hectares was planted at the end of 2011 with a further 5,500 hectares to be planted this year.

The company is still in due diligence over the acquisition of up to 17,000 hectares and retains its longer-term target of 45,000 hectares.
