Surgical Innovations (SI), which makes equipment for minimally invasive surgery, has secured a new eight-year distribution agreement with its US distribution partner CareFusion.

The deal replaces one due to expire this year and takes advantage of the US regulatory clearance for SI's PretzelFlex, a device that shifts internal organs, particularly the liver, during stomach surgery.
