Mwana buoyed by Chinese investment

Shares in Mwana Africa are up on a new deal with a Chinese company in the Congo

Shares in Mwana Africa rose by over 6 per cent on news that it had agreed a joint venture with China's Zhejiang Hailiang Company to develop the 28 SEMHKAT copper licences which Mwana operates in the Congo. Under the agreement, Hailiang will invest $25m (£15.8m) over four years, eventually holding a 62 per cent voting interest.
