Environmental services consultancy Silverdell (SID) has won a £12m order to decommission the oil-fired Tracy thermal power plant owned by Canadian electricity generator Hydro Quebec. The work will include selling around 37,000 tonnes of re-usable plant, equipment and metals for industrial sale. Silverdell will then dismantle the power plant, including removing asbestos.
