Malaysian palm plantation developer Asian Plantations (PALM) has responded to press speculation by admitting that it is in discussions with a number of potential suitors which may lead to an offer for the company.

While correctly stating that there is no certainty that an offer may be forthcoming, the company did confirm that one of the parties is in discussions with is plantations giant, Felda Global Ventures. Asian Plantations has a number of sites in Malaysia in various states of development with production having already started at some, but others in the early stage of planting.
