Ubisense shows its nous

As Ubisense develops its solutions business, restructuring may prove painful.
July 23, 2014

Ubisense (UBI), which automates business processes and packages and visualises enterprise data, recorded a 40 per cent rise in sales to £17m in the first half of this year. That rise reflects progress in its solutions division, where revenues rose 45 per cent as its Smart Factory System and MyWorld products attracted new customers such as Audi and GM.

Ubisense also expanded its agreements with the likes of Airbus and Hyundai, ending the period with an order book of £16m - compared with a year-end figure of £17.9m. And last year's acquisition, Asia-focused Geoplan, won initial deployments with Toyota, Hyundai and others.
