Telecom operators can't get enough of Amino Technologies' (AMON) latest internet-connected TV set-top boxes and home media hubs. Nor can investors it seems; they bid its shares up 6 per cent after the group revealed higher than expected profit for the year to the end of November.

Amino landed contracts in the US and Turkey for its Live Advanced Media Platform, while a European network operator agreed to roll out its new A150 set-top box in the Netherlands. Those deals helped Amino swing from last year's sales decline to second-half growth.

Broker finnCap hiked its full-year pre-tax profit forecast by 5 per cent to £4.2m, giving EPS of 7.8p, up from £3.5m and 6.3p in 2013.
