Harwood Capital LLP, to which Mr Christopher Mills, a director at MJ Gleeson (GLE) is a beneficiary, has sold 1m shares in the housing and land developer for 440p each. After the sale Harwood Capital still retains over 12m shares or just over 22 per cent of the issued share capital.

The sale came just a week ahead of Gleeson announcing another land sale. Following a sale last month of a 12.5-acre site in Sussex for the development of 75 homes, the group has also secured the sale of a further 18 acre site in Staffordshire, which has planning consent to build 140 homes.
Both these sales have been secured without any conditions to satisfy and will both be included in the financial year that ended on 30 June. Consequently, pre-tax profits are expected to be significantly ahead of previous estimates. A trading update is due for release today - 3 July.
