In response to a lecture BoE Governor Carney delivered at the London School of Economics yesterday evening Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg said, ‘this self-serving vanity is remarkable. Mark Carney predicted a disaster that didn’t happen and now says it was only avoided because of his own brilliance’. Possibly in sympathy cable has rallied marginally to fill the gap created over the weekend.
