Oil major BP has recalled from Russia all of the technical staff it seconded to its Russian joint venture TNK-BP. This is the latest move in an ongoing and increasingly bad-tempered spat with the local oligarchs who own the other half of the venture.

IC VIEW

HighEnough

The exodus of BP technical staff mean it's unlikely that TNK-BP will achieve the production gains it was previously slated to deliver from 2010 onwards - and total BP production will suffer accordingly. BP now looks high enough at 527p.
