Chinese confectionery maker Sweet China returns to Aim on Thursday after raising £2.7m in tough market conditions. It was suspended in 2006 when its nominated advisor resigned, but a deal to buy Essential Box Confectionery has led to its resurrection. Essential Box owns several brands including Jessica Walker, which is sold in Harrods. All current production is exported but Sweet China is targeting the domestic Chinese market.
