Iofina, the US-focused iodine and natural gas explorer-producer has raised £15m and floated on Aim with an initial capitalisation of £50m.

The group adopts a low-capital proprietary technique to extract iodine from brine streams and recovers natural gas as an associated product. The group currently leases 28,000 acres and is targeting further acreage with similar iodine and gas saturations.
The US iodine market is large and growing. Iofina could become the largest producer within five years and still couldn't satisfy demand. Good value.
