M&S has a big task ahead

Investors will be keen to see if the high street chain has made any headway in turning around its general merchandise division next week
November 3, 2016

Times are only getting tougher for high street retailers such as Marks and Spencer (MKS). The market will be keen at next week's half-year results to see how the company is coping with poor footfall trends and amending its pricing strategies in order to turn around the general merchandise decision. We're sure newly installed chief executive Steve Rowe is hoping that the accounting blunder that blighted the first-quarter results doesn't repeat.
