Kassem Alom, erstwhile chief executive of Abu Dhabi-based healthcare provider Al Noor Hospitals (ANH), has netted himself £50m by selling off 5m shares at a price of £10 each. The sale was certainly timely given the strong growth in the Al Noor’s share price since the group's London IPO in June 2013. The deal also coincided with Mr Alom’s appointment as deputy chairman.

The management reshuffle was mooted prior to the group’s admission, but the board agreed to complete one year as a listed entity before searching for a new boss. US citizen Ronald Lavater took over as chief executive of the company from 1 October, joining from global healthcare group John Hopkins Medicine International where he served as a senior executive for the Middle East division.
