We've witnessed the third big share sale in the space of a year by the founder of Asos (ASC), Nick Robertson. Mr Robertson may have stepped down from the role of chief executive, but continues to pull in the cash by trimming his weighty holding in the online fashion retailer. This time around he sold 300,000 shares, netting himself more than £15.5m. Last June, Mr Robertson earned a whopping £46m by selling more than 1.3m shares, and last February he pocketed £5.8m through the sale of 200,000 shares. But don't fret, Mr Robertson retains a 6.2 per cent stake in the business, which translates into more than 5m shares.

Over Christmas, Asos managed a 30 per cent rise in retail sales at constant currency, with a particularly strong performance in the UK despite an uncertain retail environment. Margins only slipped by 30 basis points, in line with expectations.
