Tesco directors summoned to court

The 2014 accounting scandal has reared its ugly head again as three former directors are asked to appear in court over their alleged involvement
September 14, 2016

As chief executive "drastic" Dave Lewis throws everything he can at Tesco (TSCO) to turn it around, the 2014 accounting scandal rears its ugly head again. Last week, three former senior directors at Tesco were charged with fraud in relation to the £263m-plus accounting error at the supermarket chain. They include Carl Rogberg, the former finance director of Tesco UK, Christopher Bush, the former managing director of Tesco UK, and John Scouler, the former commercial director for food.

The three men have been summoned to appear at Westminster magistrates court on 22 September 2016 and could face up to 10-years in jail if found guilty.
