Followers of luxury brand Burberry (BRBY) will be aware that there is change afoot, specifically regarding Christopher Bailey and his role as joint creative and business head. The group revealed in July that Mr Bailey would revert to the role of creative chief and president*, leaving the CEO role vacant for new joiner and luxury goods veteran Marco Gobbetti in 2017.
In the meantime, Mr Bailey - whose remuneration package has long been a controversial topic among investors - has cashed in 18,750 shares to the tune of around £250,000. That pales in comparison, however, to the chief executive of the company's Asia Pacific division, Pascal Perrier, who offloaded 72,162 shares for just shy of £1m. Asia has proved a tricky market for Burberry this year as fears about a wider slowdown in economic growth there has prompted consumers to tighten their belts.
