Mixed-use property regeneration specialist U&I Group (UAI) - formerly Development Securities - has secured a contract to develop a £95m regeneration project for the Forest Works site in north-east London.

The site, which covers three acres, has the potential to accommodate 300 new homes and 5,500 sq ft of commercial space, and is located within the new Blackhorse Road housing zone, where the local council has a target to deliver 2,500 new homes in the next 10 years. The site was acquired through an off-market deal with Parkdale Investments for whom U+I will act as development manager. The latest deal is part of the latter's strategic objective of building a portfolio of larger development projects
