Electronics components distributor Premier Farnell (PFL) has announced a restructuring of its business. The group's Americas and Europe & Asia Pacific divisions will be integrated and reorganised globally by function to better reflect how customers operate. The restructuring will cost £8m and deliver annualised cost savings of £6 to £8m by the 2016 financial year.

Premier Farnell also gave a brief update on trading, saying it was progressing in line with guidance given in May that flagged up gradually improving market conditions.
