With the delights of Southern Spain all around me, I was never going to need much persuasion to refrain from trading for a few days. Fortunately, the markets have also given me the perfect excuse. The main US and UK equity indices have done absolutely nada for six consecutive sessions. How very sporting of them. I'd feel much guiltier about doing nothing if they were raging ahead or collapsing. As it is, I can retreat to the beach with a clear conscience.
