Connaught managed to manoeuvre around a potential pothole this week after the outsourcer was given the go-ahead to start work on a £125m contract for Norwich City Council.
The company won the five-year contract as long ago as December, but an injunction brought by the current provider delayed a permanent signature on the deal. Now a settlement has now been reached and Connaught's share price enjoyed a 6 per cent rise on the news, which will likely allay investor anxieties over declining social housing contract wins.
