Sim still in at Lo-Q

Leonard Sim sells £1.89m of Lo-Q shares, but still holds a big chunk of the company. Plus a summary of other boardroom share sales
March 5, 2012

Leonard Sim, an executive director at Lo-Q, has offloaded 750,000 shares, netting himself £1.89m. Don't worry, though – he is still in possession of 2,493,575 shares in the company – and don't be quick to follow his transaction.

Lo-Q is a provider of virtual queueing systems for theme parks, water parks and major attractions and allows users to queue without waiting in line. Users reserve their place in a queue electronically and are notified when their turn is due, resulting in less queueing time. Zoombezi Bay, which is owned and operated by Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in the US, is Lo-Q's latest customer. It has signed a five-year agreement for the company's Q-band product, a waterproof and lightweight radio-frequency identification wristband rented out to guests.

Lo-Q's share price has rocketed from 3p in June 2005 to its current price of 257.5p – an increase of more than 8,000 per cent. Mr Sim is only selling his shares to satisfy institutional demand.
