Afferro Mining, Luis da Silva, President and CEO

Afferro Mining is an established iron ore exploration and development company with four exploration permits in the south of Cameroon, all along the same proposed infrastructure corridor. The Company is managed by a team with strong track records in the discovery and development of new commercial deposits and is listed on TSX-V and AIM. The flagship project is Nkout, where a large resource with an excellent metallurgy has been identified and a PEA has already described a robust project. The Company is currently in the process of seeking a JV partner for the project, and plans to move into a Pre-Feasibility Study early in 2013. Earlier stage development at the other exploration permits,Ntem, Ngoa and Akonolinga, is taking place concurrently. Ntem in particular has a compelling investment case, with its proximity to a deep water port, already under construction. The balance sheet is very strong, with the Company fully-funded for its exploration and development of these assets through 2013 and beyond.

Construction is currently underway for a new agitation leaching plant at Gedabek which will improve gold recoveries initially to 85 per cent and 69 per cent for oxides and sulphide ores respectively and significantly reduce production costs.

Rare earth elements such as neodymium, dysprosium, terbium, europium and yttrium are essential for clean energy and high tech applications. Mkango's licences cover 1,751km2 of the Chilwa Alkaline Province, a major emerging rare earth mineral province in southern Malawi. The company will shortly be announcing a maiden resource estimate for its flagship rare earth project, Songwe. Songwe features broad zones of outcropping rare earth mineralization extending to at least 350m depth, open along strike and to depth.
