Investors thirst for Young's

PubCos are enjoying a quick start to the drinking season as summer finally arrives
July 10, 2013

The company's managed estate, which is almost entirely London-based, posted a like-for-like sales increase in the first 13 weeks of the year of 6.8 per cent. The company also acquired a further three freehold pubs in London. The industry in general could benefit from the benign weather with analysts chalking up an additional £60m of extra sales this month, though it's likely to be pubs rather than restaurants which feel the benefit.
