Water technology specialist Modern Water (MWG) has signed a flurry of deals in recent weeks to further extend the potential reach of its desalination and water toxicity monitoring technologies. The recent high profile visit by UK businesses to China saw Modern Water sign three contracts - one to explore a potential desalination plant at Xugong Island, another to sell Hangzhou Water's desalination equipment in the Middle East, and a third for Beijing Green Science and Technology to become exclusive distributor of Modern Water's monitoring products in China.
These latest contracts, plus the use of Modern Water's equipment as part of the clean-up operation at the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan, emphasise the growing interest in Modern Water's technology, and the growing importance of the Far East as a potential market.
