CMC Markets takes the plunge

The spread betting and contracts-for-difference trading platform has set the price range for its February IPO
January 27, 2016

Volatile times call for volatility traders. Spread betting and contracts-for-difference (CFD) trading platform CMC Markets is preparing its dive into the turbulent waters of the London equity market, setting a 235p-275p price range for its February listing.

The company is trading well in the current volatility, which has encouraged spread-betters and CFD players to call the market's commodity-driven swings. CMC's founder and chief executive, Peter Cruddas, who has Conservative Party treasurer among the roles on his CV, depicted a business in rude health.
