Frenkel Topping director sells down

Just three months after topping up his holding, the group's chairman has sold down

It wasn't that long ago that we wrote about Frenkel Topping's (FEN) chairman, Jason Granite, buying up as much of the company's stock as regulators would allow. Back in the summer FCFM Group - a fund he co-owns with business partner Michael Spencer - spent a total of £733,000 buying 1.6m shares from two other members of Frenkel's management team.

IC TIP: Hold at 53p

Mr Granite has done well out of that purchase, selling 7.5m shares at 52.5p - a 12 per cent premium to the average price the shares were bought at in the summer - to Oryx International Growth Fund. To add further complexity to the story, the senior fund manager at Oryx is Christopher Mills, who has also captured his own fair share of words in the directors dealing section of the Investors Chronicle. Mr Mills is also the chief executive of North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust, a fund that owns 25 per cent of EKF Diagnostics (EKF), where Mr Mills is also the chairman.
