Happy snap-up for Photo-Me chief

The French boss has splurged more than £7.5m on shares in the company, taking his stake above 22 per cent

French entrepreneur Serge Crasnianski has snapped up more than £7.5m-worth of shares in the photo booth company he runs. The chief executive of Photo-Me International (PHTM), which also has a growing laundry business, bought the shares via two transactions just days before Christmas.

The first purchase of more than 1.9m shares on 19 December 2016 was worth just north of £3m, while the second purchase, on 22 December 2016, saw the former Top 100 e-millionaires constituent buy up nearly 2.9m shares for £4.6m based on the 158p share price. Mr Crasnianski, also an alumni of the Sunday Times' 1,000 Richest People in Britain, now owns 22.5 per cent of the company's shares.
