It's said demand has been so strong for shares in Aim-traded carpet designer and manufacturer Victoria (VCP) that chairman Geoff Wilding has sold a chunk of his holding to keep up with liquidity needs. The sale was made on behalf of Camden Holdings Limited, which is owned by The Camden Trust, of which Mr Wilding is the settlor and a discretionary beneficiary.

Mr Wilding will still be Victoria's largest shareholder, as even after he sells shares worth 4.4 per cent of the company's issued capital he will still have a 29.1 per cent stake, just short of the threshold that can trigger takeover rumours. However, it seems the disposal will be Mr Wilding's last for a while as he made it clear that he has no further plans to sell shares in the foreseeable future.
