It has been another week for the doomsayers in the retail sector. Debenhams (DEB) backed up the official data about a rough May in its latest update, which updated the market on trading to mid-June. The business continues to see "volatility in trading week to week," said CEO Sergio Bucher. In a familiar refrain, it is focusing on cost control and other self-help measures.
