AlphaScreens: Six quality risers

Six new companies score 9/9 against our quality metrics
May 21, 2018

Industrial company Victrex (VCT) joins the FTSE All Share companies that score 9/9 on our quality screen, thanks to improved performance against return on equity (ROE) growth and EPS forecast criteria. Other companies new to the perfect score club in this month’s All Share screen include support services firm Diploma (DPLM) and Sage Group (SGE), the accounting solutions specialist.

FTSE 100 behemoth Reckitt Benckiser (RB.) has had a tough year but the consumer staples giant, which historically has been a bulwark of many a defensive portfolio, now meets all our criteria. Improved forward earnings estimates and a more attractive price-to-earnings-growth ratio may be attractive to investors.

In the Aim screen, Caledonia Mining (CMCL) and music and audio company Focusrite (TUNE), now pass all nine tests - improving on their screen rankings a month ago.
