Walker Crips targets fintech to boost profits

Small-cap stockbroker and asset and wealth manager Walker Crips (WCW:37p) put in a decent performance for the full year to end-March 2018 given the market fallout in the final quarter. True, assets under management and administration (AuMA) declined from £5.2bn to £5bn in the 12 month period, but it’s worth noting that the FTSE All-Share index dropped by 11 per cent from its January 2018 high to its low point at the end of March 2018, which exactly coincided with Walker Crips’ period end. Since then the index has rallied by 8 per cent.
