Better deal all round from NS&I

NS&I is increasing interest rates on its variable products and the chance of Premium Bond win

National Savings and Investments (NS&I) will increase the interest rates on its variable rate savings products from 1 December, following the rise in the base rate earlier this month from 0.25 per to 0.5 per cent.  

NS&I will increase the annual equivalent rate (AER) interest on its Investment Account from 0.45 per cent to 0.70 per cent and on its Direct Saver from 0.70 per cent to 0.95 per cent. The AER interest on its Income Bonds and Direct Individual Savings Account (Isa) will rise from 0.75 per cent to 1 per cent. And its Junior Isa's AER interest will increase from 2 per cent to 2.25 per cent.
