Schroders chairman in £7m sell-off

Michael Dobson, chairman of the asset management firm, sold shares equivalent to £7.4m
October 19, 2017

However one looks at it, £7.4m is a lot of money. So it might not immediately imbue investors with confidence that Schroders chairman Michael Dobson has sold 213,389 shares equal to this amount – almost half of his former shareholding. That said, Mr Dobson has held managerial roles at the asset management firm since 2001: he was chief executive for nearly 15 years, before taking over his current role in April 2016. Perhaps unsurprising he's selling down his position; the group’s share price has climbed nearly a quarter in the past 12 months.
