FFI director sales boost free float

As part of the flotation process, chief executive Steven Ransohoff has sold 7.4m shares

FFI Holdings (FFI) has been around for a long time, starting out in the 1950s, but it was only two weeks ago that the company floated on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). FFI is based in Los Angeles, with 11 other offices dotted around the globe.

The business model centres on underwriting films, so that when approached by a producer who wants to raise finance, they execute a type of due diligence on the film, assessing its potential and, where appropriate, give it a rubber stamp. With this kind of insurance, the producer can then present to a potential lender.
