Mission Marketing’s (TMMG) shares are apparently in high demand from institutional investors. That’s the reason chief executive Robert Day has given for his recent £480,000 share sale. Mr Day also transferred 323,000 shares into the ownership of his pension fund, but retains a 6.1 per cent direct stake in the company.

Digital marketing hasn’t been the easiest of industries in the last few years as Google and Facebook have taken market share away from traditional advertising platforms. Mission has managed to continue growing despite this competition, both on a like-for-like basis and with the help of acquisitions. That said, recent half-year results reported a slight decline in turnover as customers have moved away from broad marketing expenditure to more targeted activity.
