Barclays, TT Electronics and South32

All eyes on the UK benchmark index over the next week, with several resource and banking heavyweights due to reveal how they’ve fared over the second half of 2017. The recent experience of Persimmon (PSN) boss, Jeff Fairburn, seems to indicate that shareholders are in an unforgiving mood, so let’s hope that FTSE 100 bosses have their chequebooks at the ready. We’ve seen a step-up in reporting activity over the past few days, which has diverted attention from last week’s market correction – assuming that’s what it was, as opposed to a harbinger of something a little more substantial.
