Domino's CFO exit unnerves market

The pizza group is on the hunt for a new chief financial officer
June 13, 2018

The abrupt departure of Domino’s Pizza's (DOM) chief financial officer spooked investors, sending the shares down 7 per cent on the day of the news. Rachel Osborne has left the company with immediate effect to pursue “other career opportunities”. Ms Osborne had been in the position since October 2016 when she replaced Paul Doughty, who had only lasted five months in the role. Prior to that, Sean Wilkins made a sudden departure after just over a year as chief financial officer.

The pizza group’s financial position has changed dramatically in recent years. Net debt had more than doubled at the March year-end, while the upper-end of the target leverage range was increased to 2.5 times cash profits, even though the company had been in a net cash position two years prior.
