Codemasters moves into digital

The group has been moving away from physical distribution
June 10, 2019

Codemasters (CDM) is shifting towards a digital-led model. In the year to March 2019, 59.2 per cent of the group's sales were digital; up significantly from last year's 41.3 per cent. This was skewed by the group's deal with NetEase, a 100 per cent digital agreement that will see it publish three of its PC titles in China. So far the deal, along with a subsequent agreement to co-develop a mobile game with NetEase, delivered ahead of expectations, offsetting disappointing numbers from the release of new game OnRush.
