Delay to Tristel’s US launch

The environmental protection agency – a US regulatory body – has requested more information on the group’s disinfectant products prior to approval
October 3, 2017

The US launch of Tristel’s (TSTL) disinfectant wipes has been delayed by about five months after a regulatory body requested more information on the product. Approval is now expected in May 2018, meaning state-by-state product registration will probably take until late in the 2019 financial year, which ends in June. Although Tristel is still confident that primary US revenues will be booked in FY2019, broker finnCap has said it is likely to tweak its mid-term forecasts.

The setback won’t have any bearing on 2017 or 2018 numbers. Tristel is expected to report double-digit revenue and pre-tax profit growth in each of the next two years.
