We had speculated that medical devices giant Smith & Nephew (SN.) might look to reinvigorate sales growth with acquisitions. We have not had long to wait since tipping the shares a month ago. The group has announced the acquisition of Maryland-based Osiris Therapeutics for $19 (14.5p) a share, or $660m in total.
