Shares in our buy tip Utilitywise (UTW) have rallied following a stellar set of half-year results in April, rising more than quarter. Buying into this growth is non-executive director of the group Jeremy Middleton. Mr Middleton has bought 300,000 shares in the utility cost management consultancy, taking his stake in the group up to 3.4 per cent.

Utilitywise, which helps businesses reduce their energy bills, has capitalised on a recent period of low energy prices. Its revenues rose substantially during the first half of this year as customers moved to lock in cheaper rates for longer. The enterprise division, which caters to smaller businesses, has accounted for the majority of the group's recent growth. Total cash profits during the first-half were up £2.3m to £7.7m.
