Michael Scott, manager of IC Top 100 Schroder High Yield Opportunities Fund (GB00B5143284), is leaving Schroders to join Man GLG.
He will start his new position as a portfolio manager in December, and will be responsible for launching a new global high-yield fund at Man GLG, while also supporting the existing bond funds.
Mr Scott has been lead manager of Schroder High Yield Opportunities since August 2012 and has delivered strong total returns over that time. The fund has a yield of 6.2 per cent, and over five years has made 43.2 per cent. It is also the top-performing fund in the Investment Association (IA) Sterling High Yield sector over one, three and five years.
