Johnson Matthey hit by metals volatility

The internal combustion engine isn’t going to vanish from our roads overnight – just ask Johnson Matthey (JMAT), which makes components for both petrol-powered and electric vehicles (EVs). The group has predicted that its clean air business, which provides catalysts for emission control systems in conventional vehicles, is going to be “stronger for longer” thanks to a slowdown in global EV sales.
