The Association of Investment Companies has honoured Investors Chronicle's deputy personal finance editor Leonora Walters with two awards for her journalism.
June 28, 2013

Congratulations to Investors Chronicle's deputy personal finance editor Leonora Walters, who won two categories at the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) Journalist awards 2013.

Leonora was honoured as Best Consumer Journalist and Best Venture Capital Trust (VCT) Journalist. Announcing the awards, Ian Sayers, director general of the AIC, praised her "high quality and prolific journalism".

These awards are very prestigious, being voted for by marketing managers of investment companies and investment company analysts.

This is the third year that Leonora has been honoured by the AIC. In 2009, she was voted Online Reporter of the Year and VCT Reporter of the Year. In 2012, she won VCT Reporter of the Year again.

Other members of IC's personal finance team have also won awards this year. Personal finance writer Katie Morley won Pensions Journalist of the Year (Consumer) at the HeadlineMoney Awards 2013, while personal finance editor Moira O'Neill has been named the Wincott Personal Finance Journalist of the Year.
