The share price has had a topsy turvy ride since the company announced in December that it had suffered net emerging market outflows of £20.4bn in the year to the end of September - a figure eclipsed at the time by the £135bn of assets that flowed in with the acquisition of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. Emerging market flows have reportedly improved since 2014, but the question is how far, especially given the ongoing strength of the US dollar - and whether the recovery in emerging market indices this year is shifting sentiment among asset allocators.
