Chairman Jason Granite likes what he sees in Frenkel Topping
(FEN). Mr Granite and his business partner Michael Spencer, who together own investment vehicle FCFM Group, are permitted to own just shy of 30 per cent of the Aim-traded group's shares and their desire to reach that level has seen him persuade fellow executives Richard Fraser (chief executive) and Julie Dean (chief financial officer) to sell down.
Now Messrs Granite and Spencer own a combined 27 per cent of Frenkel Topping, good news for them as the group - which specialises in financial protection for vulnerable clients - recently reported a solid trading update. Assets under management grew to £700m from £687m during the interim period ended 30 June, particularly pleasing given the recent volatility following the referendum result.
