Greg Lock, non-executive chairman of Computacenter (CCC), may be hoping to shore up sentiment and make a tidy return. He recently shelled out nearly £492,000 for 64,000 shares in the IT services and infrastructure group, raising his stake by around a fifth.

Mr Lock's purchase comes a couple of months after Computacenter revealed a mixed first-quarter performance. Constant-currency revenue rose 3 per cent as sales rose at both the services and supply chain divisions. That was helped by strong demand in the UK for datacentre and networking equipment. But sales slumped at the ailing French business as management exited unprofitable business and prioritised larger accounts and service work.
Broker Panmure Gordon expects pre-tax profit of £85.2m in the year to December 2015, giving EPS of 47.5p (from £85.9m and 46.9p in full-year 2014).
